A kinetic rifle was the rifle version of a hand-held kinetic weapon used by Universal Federation of Alliance. These weapons were used by Humans during the 1,156 ADG. They were carried on Universal Force even after the advent of phaser weapons. While not particulary high-yield, they were capable of killing a target.
The Nazi Germany also made use of hand-held kinetic rifles. The Type-4 kinetic rifle (know as StG-44) utilized by the German Army in the 25,088 BDG fired kinetic bursts and had no stun setting.
